Apptizr Could Be Appetizing

Introducing apptizr, a browser-based iPhone app database that lets you create a profile of your owned apps and those you like. Based on your categorized choices, apptizr then dishes up lists of apps that are similar to what you express an interest in. While it, too, only hands out ten at a time, scrolling through lists of apps similar enough to our interests proved fast and addictive.
Similarly structured to Pandora's rating schemes, apptizr-listed items can be given a thumbs up or down, you can check off that you own the app already, and you can click on links to app descriptions. (This last feature apparently scrapes the iTunes store for descriptions, reviews, screenshots, and the rest.) There is also a link to get an app, which takes you to the iTunes store.
Apptizr promises to filter for quality, capture your tastes, and will email you weekly recommended apps. As we've just signed up, this last email reliability we can't vouch for, though we do see on our account settings that we can turn off this feature if it becomes annoying.
While it's nice to find someone trying to determine ways to manage the stream of constantly updated apps, apptizr seemed to promise quite a bit of quality control, maybe more than it delivered at the outset. We're not saying it wasn't completely there in the beginning and we're not saying the app recommendations won't improve with time, we're just saying that this is something that bears watching.
Now the big question is, is there an app for that?
(A: No.)
