We're well underway into iPad 2 launch weekend, and already there's been a plethora of reports of the device selling out at Apple retail stores. Current ship times on models on Apple's site range anywhere from 2-3 weeks or even 3-4 weeks. However, it appears those who opted against venturing out into the masses and instead ordered from directly from AT&T could have their iPad 2 by Monday!
AppleInsider is reporting that an iPad 2 customer on AT&T indeed noted that his order has already shipped with free two day delivery and an estimated arrival date of Monday. If this is true, it could top Apple's delivery dates by a wide margin.
Granted delivery dates are more often than not only estimates, to give shippers benefit of the doubt, and Apple certainly has a history of shipping out items much earlier than the first listed date. Another guess as well is if Apple's goal was to create a massive public launch by providing more inventory at retail stores.
For readers who have ventured out to the malls this weekend, how do things look in your neck of the woods? Are iPad 2s out of stock? How's the shipping estimate on your order looking? Feel free to leave your experiences below!
