If the iPad 2 just hasn't quite wowed you like you had hoped, but still want some variation of the device, AT&T has drastically reduced the prices of the first generation of the iPad. For example, the 64GB Wi-Fi + 3G edition can now be had for $529!
To expedite the process, make sure you search for "iPad" on the site to be able to find it. Referring to the above example of the 64GB version, if you factor in free shipping, that would be $130 below what Apple charges for a refurbished version. Also, the 16GB Wi-Fi + 3G version is available for $429 with free shipping. That would be $50 below what Apple charges for the refurbished version.
Of course, these do require the purchase of an AT&T DataConnect Personal Data Plan. Those plans are active for 30 days and then automatically renew every 30 days, but can be cancelled at any time. A 2GB DataConnect Personal Plan is free for the first 30 days.
So if the original price tag of the 3G version of the iPad turned you off, and don't want to wait for the iPad 2 stock to replenish, now may be as good of a time as any to look into picking up that "magical device!"
