As many know by now, Time managing editor Walter Isaacson had been given the green light awhile back to work on the first authorized biography of Apple CEO Steve Jobs. The book was originally slated to be released in early 2012. Now it appears various online book retailers have updated the listing to a November 21, 2011 release date.
The book was originally going to be penned under the title iSteve: The Book of Jobs. However, the title was unpopular with numerous people, so Isaacson obtained approval to change the title to simply Steve Jobs, and publication was to be set for March 6, 2012.
However Mr. Isaacson must be further along than originally thought, as the book's page at Barnes & Noble was bumped up to a release date of November 21, 2011.
The book's overview, as submitted by the publisher, mentions that Jobs has given cooperation with the book and has not requested any control over the final version. He also reportedly left no topic off-limits for the book, and did not even request the right to read it before publication.
