Nearly two months after the introduction of Apple's new Lightning connector, third-party accessory maker Belkin looks to become the first out of the gate with a dock and auto charger for your current-generation iDevice.
The Next Web is reporting that Belkin has become the first accessory maker to announce a pair of third-party Lightning accessories, expected to ship on or before November 15.
Belkin is now offering both a car charger as well as a "Charge + Sync" dock, each priced at $29.99. Both items are available to preorder from the company's website.
The aptly-named "Car Charger with Lightning connector for iPhone 5" is touted as "the first Lightning car charger for the iPhone 5," offering 2.1 amps (10 watts) of power, which is plenty to charge even your iPad mini or iPad with Retina Display as well.
Meanwhile, the Charge + Sync Dock features a foldaway AUX jack which uses the bottom headphone port for pumping audio through the dock instead of the iPhone 5's speakers. Unfortunately, you'll have to provide your own Lightning to USB cable, although it does get conveniently tucked away inside the dock, and this one is listed as only compatible with the iPhone 5.
Belkin is also planning a wider variety of Lightning accessories with additional products coming later this year.
