Sources claim the first public beta of Mac OS X 10.6.3 will be released to developers by the end of Thursday. The build will probably use the prefix 10Dxx and will initially be limited to a select group of developers, probably to control the amount of feedback. It is not known when a wider developer release will happen, or when the final release will be seeded to the public.
Also hidden is what issues 10.6.3 will address, as very few OS-related problems have gained major attention. Snow Leopard updates have been released unusually fast, as the OS shipped in late August and had its first update a little less than two weeks later.
