Boom: Apple Confirms OS X Mountain Lion Release on Wednesday, July 25

It may have been quietly slipped into a quote from CEO Tim Cook, but Apple has confirmed what we all assumed anyway: OS X Mountain Lion will be making its way onto the Mac App Store on Wednesday, July 25, 2012.
Apple is about to hold a conference call to report its fiscal Q3 2012 earnings, but the press release holds a tiny nugget of information we've all been waiting for: OS X Mountain Lion will arrive in the Mac App Store tomorrow.
“We’re thrilled with record sales of 17 million iPads in the June quarter,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said as part of a press release announcing its quarterly earnings. “We’ve also just updated the entire MacBook line, will release Mountain Lion tomorrow and will be launching iOS 6 this Fall. We are also really looking forward to the amazing new products we’ve got in the pipeline.”
So there you have it, folks -- get your $19.99 ready to spend tomorrow!
