Why should you care about Burrito Bison? Well, let's just say that it has gobbled up hours of our lives since we discovered it. Though it's just a humble free flash game, it's incredibly addictive and fun. Very few flash games can match it. As for whether or not we'll be willing to pay for the iOS version of a game that's already free online? Well, that's not so certain just yet.
Frankly though, we'll take all the Burrito Bison we can get. The game takes place in a package of gummy bears (seriously) which has mysterious gobbled up a man by the name of Burrito Bison. After being forced to wrestle for the amusement of the gummies he breaks free and launches himself across the room. From there the game becomes a "launcher" type of game that you've probably played before.
Burrito Bison elevates itself above the herd (pun intended) with its great sense of humor, satisfying gameplay, and advanced interactivity. Whereas most games of this type simply ask you to sit back and watch the character tumble across the screen, in Burrito Bison you have the chance to slam yourself on the ground to get a boost. The object is to smash as many gummy bears as possible as they try to flee your bison-y wrath.
It's always a little bit tricky when you're asking consumers to pay actual dollars to get a game that's identical to what they can already get online for free. Adult Swim has had quite a bit of success doing just that though with games like Robot Unicorn Attack. Let's just hope Burrito Bison developer Juicy Beast has mercy enough not to charge the exorbitant $4.99 price that many Adult Swim games were going for at launch.
