It seems that Americans aren't the only ones getting in on the sweet iPad goodness this weekend at Apple Stores across the country. According to The Globe & Mail (its just like the New York Times - only colder,) many of Apple's faithful from the Great White North are making the trip south to scoop up the coveted tablet almost a month before before it becomes available for purchase in Canada.
The story details the epic journey of Wayne MacPhail - a deeply dedicated Mac user with a deeply ironic last name - and his encounter with a good number of his northern brethren as they waited in line for Buffalo's Apple Store at the Walden Galleria to open this past Saturday morning. How Canadians will manage to get any iPad-specific Apps on their new tablets, remains a mystery, however - from all appearances, the Canadian App Store has yet to advertise their availability.
Perhaps owning an iPad is comfort enough to make the wait for app availability bearable.
