It's Wednesday again, and that means it's time to wait impatiently for midnight to roll around so games will arrive in the US App Store. It's another banner week for gaming as we're getting a host of interesting new games. We're really interested in trying out Rainbow Six Shadow Vanguard on the iPad, and there's also a Max Payne clone that's caught our eye.
We're especially excited to try out Captain America though. Movie licensed games have always had an incredibly poor reputation on console and PC, but on the iPhone they're often pretty amazing. The Iron Man games for example have always been great.
It's hard to be sure right now since Marvel has released so little info about the game, but it almost looks to play like the great iOS adaptation of Mirror's Edge. That's just judging from screenshots and an old launch trailer though.
Rainbow Six Shadow Vanguard is also on the release list this week, and while it's been out on iPhone for a while already, we're excited to see how it plays on the iPad.
The most interesting of all the games out is actually something of a clone. It's the latest me-too offering from Gameloft, and this time they're aping the cult classic console game Max Payne. It's a crime-thriller that (judging on its ridiculously over-the-top profanity) is aimed at young men. Still, it will be interesting to see how a fast-paced action game like that plays out on the small touch screen.
And there are plenty more games being released as well. You can check out the full list of notable titles here.
