The iPad 2 hits today and with this, Epic Games’ ChAIR Entertainment has announced that its Infinity Blade adventure game has been updated today with new optimizations specifically for iPad 2. The changes, which are part of a 500+ megabyte update available via the iTunes App Store, take advantage of the improved processing power of iPad 2, allowing the title to look and play better than ever.
ChAIR technical director, Geremy Mustard, offered the following comment as to Apple's newest tablet device:
“The iPad 2 is a huge leap up in processing power from the first iPad, and is more powerful than the impressive iPhone 4. The whole operating system will feel even more responsive and smooth. For developers like us who are always pushing the hardware to its limits, the iPad 2 will allow us to do things people won't believe can be done on a tablet device.”
Infinity Blade retails for $5.99 and requires an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, third or fourth generation iPod touch or first or second generation iPad running iOS 3.2 or later to install and run.
