Sure, Apple ditched the faux leather on the Calendar app with OS X Mavericks, but it didn't actually do all that much to improve the software itself -- but those looking for a better solution may want to jump on this preorder offer.
Chronos Inc. announced Monday that the company is now accepting preorders for its latest Mac application, iTriumph, which aims to tackle calendars, contacts and journals in a way Apple's built-in software never could.
iTriumph features day, week, month, year and list views as well as card and list views for contacts and little niceties such as a weather forecast right on the calendar. The software supports popular cloud options including iCloud, Google and Yahoo as well as CalDAV and CardDAV, all in a Retina-optimized user interface made exclusively for OS X Mavericks.
Although iTriumph isn't scheduled for release until January 20, 2014, the developer is offering early adopters the chance to save 50 percent on the single-user price of $49.99 or the family pack, which offers a single license for use on up to five computers, normally $89.99.
To receive the discount, use the coupon code "preorder2013" (no quotes) when purchasing, but make sure to checkout before December 4, 2013, which is when the deal ends. iTriumph purchasers can also save big on two other Chronos Mac applications, PrintLife or Spotlife, which are also being offered with a 50 percent discount during the same period.
