If you've ever been driving around town in a car with a broken radio, you already know how handy those iHeartRadio apps can be for tuning into your favorite radio stations. If you're also a fan of talk radio, the best just got even better.
Clear Channel Media and Entertainment announced Wednesday the debut of iHeartRadio Talk, a beta portal featuring thousands of national and local talk personalities as well as exclusive content.
iHeartRadio Talk is a custom feature which combines "on-demand, listener-created talk content alongside popular news, celebrity and entertainment "audiosodes," essentially bite-sized editions of talk content from a wide variety of sources.
The first half of this equation comes through a partnership with Spreaker, which allows anyone with a voice to record their own show using an iOS device or web app, then submit it for possible inclusion on iHeartRadio Talk.
Also included are a variety of top national and local talk personalities, including content from The Huffington Post, Ryan Seacrest, Univision and The Wall Street Journal. iHeartRadio Talk will also be the exclusive digital radio platform for ABC’s Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The View and others.
Starting today, the iHeartRadio Talk beta is available from the web, and will roll out to mobile apps this fall -- however, iOS and Android users can use the current in-app search to find favorite talk shows in the meantime.
