Earlier today ComiXology, in a partnership with iCv2, launched over 100 online storefronts capable of selling digital comics for independent retailers.
Participating retailers can now have a ComiXology-powered store and reader, making it possible to sell digital versions of top comics from major publishers, and local comic shops get to keep a percentage of the sale, too.
With the ComiXology platform, digital versions of comics will be available for sale the same day as print versions, making Wednesdays a whole lot more interesting.
The best part for your local comic shop? When you buy digital versions through the gateway, your shop gets to keep a percentage of the sale.
Digital versions sold through the ComiXology platform can be read on both iOS and Android devices, as well on the web.
