As is the case almost every year since the iPhone blasted onto the scene back in 2007, pieces and parts are slowly leaking out for this year's presumed iPhone 6, which may have finally revealed its backside this week.
Macfixit Australia reported Thursday that a "contact in China" has provided the website with what appears to be an authentic-looking rear casing for the iPhone 6, which Apple is widely expected to launch later this year.
The rumor mill is predicting that Apple will expand the iPhone 6 screen size to 4.7 inches sometime around September, and those dimensions would seem to line up nicely with the image above. Analysts also believe a 5.5-inch model will debut around the end of the year or early 2015.
The leaked image above appears to have a green film applied to it, but a silver casing can be seen exposed around the camera and LED flash holes in the top left corner. Also noteworthy are the rounded corners, which match those found on the current iPad Air and iPad mini.
Earlier rumors claim the iPhone 6 will be powered by a newer A8 processor and feature an improved backlit display, better camera with optical image stabilization, and presumably the same 802.11ac Wi-Fi included with the most recent Mac systems.
