Hesitant about adopting the iPhone because of its massive price tag? Buying an unsubsidized iPhone can be a bit pricey for some, especially if you're incredibly eager and don't have the upgrade discount for a new handset. Fortunately for the frugal, Apple CFO Tim Cook told Bernstein Research analyst Toni Sacconaghi this week that Apple's looking at the prepaid market for its business strategy.
Cook added that he didn't want Apple products to be "just for the rich," but for anyone, and that Apple understands "price is a big factor in the prepaid market." Hopefully this is evidence towards a more affordable family of Apple products. We're sure the myriad of Apple-using college students would be especially grateful.
