Coupons.com announced the availability of their new app today for the iPhone and iPod Touch in the App Store, according to iPhone News Tracker. The free app will make it easier for mobile users to save with coupons that they can print, save to their grocery store loyalty card, or redeem at the point of sale by showing coupons on their devices. The company also announced that Version 2.0 of their Grocery iQ shopping list application is also now available.
The app will allow users to browse and select from hundreds of printable, Save to Card and Show & Save coupons.
With the printable feature, users browse through the various available offers and select the ones they want with the "Clip" option. They then can print the coupons wirelessly to HP printers or send them in an email to an address for printing later.
For the "Save to Card" option, users search through the offers and select the ones they want with the "Add to Card" feature. They can browse and select coupon offers while they shop. The coupons then get loaded automatically to the users loyalty card. Once the card information is entered at checkout, coupons get deducted from the total. "Save to Card" currently supports loyalty programs from Safeway, VONS, Dominick's, GENUARDI's, Randalls, Tom Thumb, PAVILLIONS and CARRS.
"Show and Save" offers 12,000 hyperlocal offers from retailers and service provides across the country. For the "Local Offers" part, users can choose to scan through coupons from nearby retailers and service provides based on their GPS location and can pull up a map directly leading them to the business offering the savings. They can then show the coupons on their phones for the savings.
