Ever felt the urge to build one of those ridiculous Rube Goldberg contraptions OK GO is always featuring in their music videos? Well that's the subject of Casey's Contraptions, a new upcoming iOS game that tasks the player with building elaborate cause-and-effect chains to complete the level. Some of the contraptions in the release video are pretty impressive.
The game was conceived by a duo of veteran developers from established iOS studios Snappy Touch and Mystery Coconut Games. If you think along the lines of Chillingo's famous Cut the Rope [iTunes Link] then you'll be on the right track. Except that you're actually building the level from the ground up to achieve all of the objectives.
We're big fans of the physics puzzle genre and it's really neat to see people still taking the genre in new directions. The game is slated to launch on May 19, but pricing details are still unavailable.
