I hope Email Aliases transfer to iCloud as well.

I found the answer about aliases:

"MobileMe: Email aliases can no longer be added, changed, or deleted

Summary
As of June 6, 2011, the following changes to MobileMe email aliases are no longer supported:

Adding a new alias
Deleting an existing alias
Changing the active or inactive status of an alias
Changing the color or description of an alias

Currently active email aliases will continue to work for sending and receiving emails.

The ability to add, delete, or change an email alias will be available for MobileMe members that move to iCloud, once it is available this fall."

This Author... sorry, Article is a total J...oke !

I can't believe such a HUGE error can slip to web publishing this easily.

You could be sued by Apple for a fake insinuation of total customer-care-less... ;)

Shame on you !!! You should deeply apologize; it's not enough to cross out your BLATANT errors !!!

Chill out, quite trying to make a simple mistake sound like the end of the world.

And stop wasting all those exclamation points.

As noted by everyone else, it says 2012.
But don't worry, it happens to me half the time I try to be a smart-ass.

Wow. Thanks. That is a tragic failure on my part.

When I received the email from Apple stating that it MobileMe would be terminated in July, I frantically started removing content from my iDisk. Then I re-read the email, saw the year, and did a major face-palm.

I am not going to lie. I did and have been doing the same thing... except I never re-read the email so I have been painstakingly moving everything from iDisk over the last few weeks.  Face-palm indeed.

Author = WRONG

Just to educate anyone else, MobileMe is good through June 30th, 2012, NOT June 30th, 2011, since that makes no logical sense at all.

The information the post links to actually is VERY clear on the whole transition. Adrian Hoppel just needs to read before he writes, that's all.

Hmmm.... Seems as if you've dropped the YEAR during which Mobile Me will disappear. It sez here that accounts have been extended to June 2012, while iCloud comes in this Fall, giving users months to manage the transition, no?

Yes.

Let me get my calendar... It appears that July 2012 comes before Fall 2011.

(I cannot give the author too much trouble about this, I made the same mistake when I received the MobileMe discontinuation email from Apple.)
