Can’t get enough of Cut the Rope and that loveable little monster Om Nom? Developer ZeptoLab has just released the latest chapter in the saga to the App Store, available in both an HD version for the iPad as well as a small-screen edition for the iPhone/iPod touch.
ZeptoLab has announced the release of their latest chapter in the Om Nom saga, Cut the Rope: Experiments (99 cents for iPhone/iPod touch, $1.99 HD version for iPad). The game features the familiar and loveable little monster discovered by a mad (but not bad) scientist determined to study his candy-loving behavior through a series of experiments -- this time, with three level packs in colorful new settings with 75 new levels in total.
While that may sound familiar to fans of the other Cut the Rope games, Experiments requires a different kind of strategy as players navigate new features, including a rope gun and suction cup. The game also includes colorful commentary by the Professor in response to Om Nom’s behavior (as well as your own achievements), with updated animation and a new soundtrack.
"In designing Cut the Rope: Experiments, we wanted to maintain the experience fans have grown to love, while offering new settings, new gameplay elements, additional animations, and updated sounds," explains Semyon Voinov, co-founder of ZeptoLab. "We’re excited to share these new twists on the old game, as we further develop Om Nom and his story.”
Experiments uses Game Center for player achievements and leader boards, featuring social media integration with Facebook as well. Find the Professor’s secret gallery of Om Nom photo observations hidden in each of the level packs and share your findings with friends on Facebook!
Cut the Rope: Experiments is now available on the App Store; the iPhone/iPod touch edition is only 99 cents (requires iOS 3.0 or later), while the big-screen HD version for the iPad is $1.99 (requires iOS 3.2 or later).
