Mac gamers wont have to wait very long to get one of 2011's biggest hits. Eidos announced today that its Game of the Year frontrunner, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, will be arriving on Mac soon.
The exact release date hasn't yet been announced, however they have said that it will be coming sometime this Winter. They also did not mention any pricing details, though it's probably safe to guess it will debut at the same $50 price tag it had on PC.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the second sequel to the all-time classic original Deus Ex. It takes place in a futuristic vision of Detroit (and other locales) in 2027 during a time when prosthetic, bionic "augmentations" have become common. It currently holds an impressive 89/100 rating on Metacritic and scored a 94/100 from Mac|Life's sister publication PC Gamer.
"We are delighted to partner with Feral, a leading expert in development for the Mac platform, to bring the acclaimed Deus Ex: Human Revolution to Mac players," added Stephane D'Astous, general manager of Eidos Montreal. "The game presents a powerful vision of a dystopian future, and we're excited that gamers will now be able to experience it on the Mac."
Feral Interactive has brought many other popular PC games over to Mac, including Bioshock and Borderlands. They've said that there should be more details about the Deus Ex Mac port in October.
