If you’re one of the millions who dig Digg, you’ll be happy to know that an official iPhone app is finally about to land in the App Store.
Mashable is reporting that the official Digg app for iPhone is already available in most European countries and should be hitting the U.S. store imminently. There are already
a number of third-party apps which tie into Digg, but most of them are paid -- you Diggers will be happy to know the official app is absolutely free.
Among the app’s many feats are listing Top, Recent and Upcoming stories in various categories as well as giving Digg users the ability to vote and view comments on stories, according to Mashable. Of course, any app bearing the Digg name would certainly have to have the ability to share articles with Twitter, Facebook or e-mail as well.
According to Mashable, “Navigation through categories, articles and comments is quite elegant; after I’ve signed in, I’ve dug and buried articles effortlessly within a minute,” writes Stan Schroeder. “There’s also an option to save stories for later reading; it’s a handy option that lets you keep track of your favorite Digg stories on the iPhone.”
That sound you just heard was millions of U.S. Digg fans clicking the App Store in search of when the app goes live. That alone out to be worth a few Diggs, right?
