In what can only be described as an acquisition that will move mountains, Tapulous, the makers of addicting games like Tap Tap Revenge, have just been bought by Disney. This is great news for the mobile gaming world, as well as for die hard Disney fans who don't see enough of their favorite character's face in the App Store.
Currently, Disney has a heavy hand in the console gaming market with its Disney Interactive Studios. But, with this purchase, the company will be able to dive head first into the iPhone/iPod touch/iPad gaming sphere.
Additionally, Tapulous founder, Bart Decrem, will join Disney as Vice President, as well as COO Andrew Lacy.
