The iPad commercial that aired yesterday during the Oscars has been
examined, and the commercial reveals even more about the much awaited
device.
9to5 Mac reports on the different elements revealed to us in the iPad commercial. Among the most interesting: iBook prices. Upon closer inspection, we can see that most of the books listed on the front page of the store are $10+. True Compass which retails for $23 in paper form and $19.25 for the Amazon Kindle format, was set at $14.99 on the iBookstore. If iBooks are priced this good, we can only imagine what it might do to other e-Reader devices.
The second tidbit of information is with the Pages (part of the iWork suite on the iPad). The video shows the "My Documents" area where users will be able to store their documents for easy access from other applications and from their Mac or PC.
The final, and most speculative piece of information comes at no surprise considering the rumors surrounding a possible camera on the device. In the first three second of the commercial you can see what appears to be a small dot in the center of the top bezel. Could this be a camera, or something else? It's probably just a smudge, but we might as well cover all the speculation.
