If you just can’t wait until Adobe’s April 12th live online event to find out what’s new with Photoshop, we have a sneak peek of one new feature for you right now.
Adobe’s John Nack has posted a blog entry with accompanying YouTube video (embedded below) which shows the new content-aware fill feature of Photoshop CS5, which is slated to be revealed via Adobe TV on April 12th at 11 am EST.
As demonstrated by Bryan O’Neil Hughes, the new content-aware fill function of Adobe Photoshop is described by Nack as “eye-popping (if we may say so) technology” -- and we would concur. With relative ease, Hughes is able to remove not only blemishes in the grass as well as flares from the sun in his demo image, but also an entire tree!
The full demo is just over five minutes, but as Nack points out, “if you’re shot on time, jump to about the 2:50 mark (halfway point) for the more impressive stuff.” Prepare to have your mind blown!
