Good news, photogs and photography enthusiasts. If you're big on taking out your Canon DSLR for weekend trips, Canon will be launching a new plug-in for the EOS E1. The plug-in will have support for Log and Transfer, which allows you to select and mark video before copying it off of the camera. You'll also be able to add custom metadata and begin editing your work before any of the clips have been officially transferred over to your hard drive.
The free software add-on should be appearing at Apple's official website later today for Final Cut Pro 6 and later It will also be able to import video from a variety of other Canon DSLR models.
