You gotta love it when little leaks make their way through the internet wire. Patently Apple is reporting that the European Trademarks and Designs Registration Office has confirmed that one of Apple's new iPad designs is actually displaying an extra connector on the left side of its chassis.
The purported 30-pin connecter will allow the iPad to be docked in landscape mode. Apparently, the first sighting of the design was noted on September 25 of this year and Steve Jobs and Jonathan Ive have already approved the design. A horizontal iPad dock makes sense for those who use the device to watch video and stream content--it would certainly make the device a better photo frame, as well.
