On the heels of the companion iOS app, Evernote 5 for Mac is out of beta and ready to download from the Mac App Store with more than 100 new features and a fresh new user interface.
Evernote has announced the release of Evernote 5 for Mac, which is now available as a free download from the Mac App Store several weeks after a beta version was offered up to the public on the company's website.
Claiming "no previous update has matched the scope of what we're launching today," the new Evernote 5 for Mac features an all-new look with a left panel that's home to shortcuts, recent notes and all of your notebooks and tags.
Notebooks in particular have an all-new approach in Evernote 5 for Mac, offering a unification of personal and Shared Notebook lists. But if you prefer the previous method of showing a list of all your notebooks, simply right-click the Notebook icon and choose "Show Notebook List" to get back on familiar footing.
There's plenty more where that came from, but given that Evernote is a free app, we'd recommend downloading the all-new version 5.0 right away and get acquainted with it yourself. And while you're at it, don't forget the similarly revamped Evernote 5 for iOS as well!
