We all know about the wonders by now that the app Evernote can do for us, and how it has built on the ways that we can stay organized. Now, the company has done it again, by coming up with a new way to help your mind keep sharp, while utilizing the iPad 2's Smart Cover at the same time!
In their blog, they describe coming across the discovery that despite all of the features of the iPad 2, they were most intrigued by the Smart Cover, in that "it didn't seem like an accessory so much as an extension of the device." It was then that the lightbulb came on as they would wonder if there was a way to use the cover to control an app that could make their original Evernote product even more useful?
Come to find out, they did, as evidenced below:
It's a free app that is designed with the goal in mind of helping you study, learn and strengthen your memory. You connect Peek to your Evernote account and select your study materials. Then you close the Smart Cover and can peek under it to see a clue. Still stumped? Raise the cover further to reveal the answer. To move along, just close the cover and repeat the process.
The app can turn your Evernote notebooks into instant study materials. When launching the app, tap the Add button and sign into Evernote. The app will then give you two tabs of notebooks. The first contains published notebooks that are provided by Evernote and StudyBlue. The second maintains your personal Evernote notebooks. Select the notebook you want, and add it to Peek. Once the notebook is downloaded, you just tap on it, close the Smart Cover, and peek to get rolling.
You can also create quizzes and study guides, and keep score of how well you're doing too. The developer describes it as perfect for brushing up on a language, preparing for a test or remembering a recipe.
You can grab the app for free here, and get studying!
