Apple shocked many iPhone users this week with their decision to notallow Google's Voice application onto the App Store. It looks as thoughthey'll have to answer to more than just users now, however. According to the Wall Street Journal (Subscription Required), The FCC (Federal Communication Commission) sent out letters to AT&T, Apple, and Google requesting more information about the rejection of the application.
According to the FCC Chairman, Julius Genachowski, "[The FCC] has a mission to foster a competitive wireless marketplace, protect andempower consumers, and promote innovation and investment." Google's service has been growing for the past few months, and many users have started using the service as their main phone number.
