Been waiting awhile to give a great app to that special someone in your life? That feature is now available on the App Store according to the folks at Just Another iPhone Blog.
It's not believed that the feature is not available yet on the App Store on the iPhone or iPod Touch, but is available for use on the desktop version of the App Store.
In order to access it, all you have to do is just click on the drop-down arrow that is located to the right of the 'Buy App' button. Recipients of the app due need to have access to a US iTunes account.
1up.com also found out that according to the updated App Store terms and conditions agreement, users are not able to use the gift option for upgrades, iPod Touch operating system updates, or for purchases that are made within an application.
Other than that though, everything seems to be up for grabs, but the recipients will need to meet any hardware as well as parental control requirements. Gifted apps are also non-refundable unless they wind up being a dud or misdescribed.
