There's hasn't been much app rejection drama from the iOS App Store in some time, but Flickr is working hard to address some authentication issues causing developers to be rejected.
Cult of Mac is reporting that Apple appears to now be rejecting iOS apps which offer exporting to Flickr -- at least those offering the option to authenticate your account from the browser.
"Why? Because it is possible to navigate away from the authentication page and find a page from which you can buy a Pro Flickr account," the report reveals. "This violates rule 11.13, which we last saw when Dropbox-enabled apps were rejected last year."
The move was first noted by a developer who posted on Yahoo Groups, who quickly realized what the problem was and immediately caught the attention of Flickr's support team.
"We had another report last week about the same problem and we are currently working on a solution on our end, which will be in compliance with Apple guidelines," the Flickr team responded. "We are planning on rolling out that change early next week. Once those changes are live in production you should be able to resubmit your app for review without code changes on your side."
Whew! That was close. Another App Store rejection nightmare that appears to have a happy ending…
