Free Logitech Wireless App

Want a free Logitech wireless trackpad
and keyboard for your PC or Mac? Gizmodo
says try your iPhone!
Logitech is offering a free Touch
Mouse app in the iTunes store that—with the help of the
companion Touch
Mouse Server software from Logitech's website—will let you use
your iPhone as a wireless mouse and keyboard with your computer. You
can configure it as a two- or three-button mouse, and the multi-touch
supports two finger scrolling. You can rotate the iPhone to either
portrait or landscape modes and the wider setup makes keyboard usage
easier. The keyboard includes Ctrl, Alt, and Command/Windows keys,
and the text is displayed on the iPhone as you type so you don't have
to keep checking the computer screen.
The connection uses WiFi rather than
Bluetooth, so you're not required to be at close range to the
computer. When you load the app it lists all computers on the
network with the server software installed. This would seem ideal for
media server applications, or if you're laying on the couch and you
hooked your laptop to your TV to play Netflix or Hulu.
This is not a new idea, but Logitech's
name on it gets some attention. The free price should make this a
popular download, and it will probably catch on even more when the
iPad is out and the larger surface is available for touch motions and
keyboard usage.
