Right on schedule, that cool-looking Amazing Spider-Man official game has hit the App Store and judging from early user reviews, it's well worth the $6.99 Gameloft is charging for it.
Gameloft has released The Amazing Spider-Man, a universal game app that ties into the Hollywood reboot of the same name which arrives in theaters next week. The game publisher leaked a teaser video of the game earlier this month for iOS and Android and at long last, the wait is over.
"Get ready for intense web-slinging action with the Amazing Spider-Man!" the app description reads. "Join Spidey in the official game app of this highly anticipated 2012 blockbuster! Play through the movie storyline as Spider-Man faces off against the Lizard and rampaging gangs. Web-sling and crawl your way through an open, fully 3D New York while using your amazing skills to save the city."
The Amazing Spider-Man includes more than 25 immersive missions inspired by the blockbuster film's storyline, featuring five distinctive districts around New York City: Central Park, Business, Downtown, Pier and Residential.
To get your web-slinging on, head to the App Store and drop $6.99; The Amazing Spider-Man is compatible with the iPhone 4 and higher, fourth-gen iPod touch and iPad 2 or third-gen running iOS 4.0 or later.
