If you’re feeling left out of the iPad game publishing world and don’t know where to start, Gendai Games may have some good news for you.
Gendai Games, Inc. announced this week that their popular
GameSalad content creation platform is now supporting Apple’s iPad, in addition to the current list of options which include the web (where you can share your games with social networks such as Facebook and Twitter), Mac and iPhone.
So what is GameSalad? Essentially, it makes it easy for just about anyone to create and publish games using visual, drag and drop tools. Gendai has already had hundreds of games published to the App Store in only five months, and now yours can be one of them.
“Game creation has long been limited to programmers, who until recently were gatekeepers of interactivity,” said GameSalad co-founder and CEO Michael Agustin. “The rapid adoption of GameSalad shows that people everywhere want to make games. GameSalad is for users of any skill level, and its ease of use is what has led to its success to date.”
GameSalad promises to take the need for programming skills out of game development and redefine the entire process for building games. Best of all, it’s free to get started by
downloading the tool available at gamesalad.com. Once you’re ready to publish your content to any mobile or desktop platform, users are required to enroll for a membership in order to gain access to the available platforms.
Gendai has also posted a couple of previews of their GameSalad publishing on YouTube which you can check out below. So who’s gonna get in on the iPad gaming craze?
