Faces iMake HD, the latest development from internationally renowned artist and illustrator Hanoch Piven, was released on the Apple App Store today. The app follows the iPhone version that we reviewed last year, which has since been downloaded over 800,000 times and received several awards including the Parents Choice Award.
Now designed specifically for the iPad, Faces iMake HD is intended to appeal to the artistic drive of everyone. It is primarily a tool for making collages from over 200 everyday objects using the touchscreen and a set of intuitive menu tools to manipulate images into faces, landscapes, patterns -- whatever you are in the mood to create. With just one or two fingers you can select images inside the app and then drag, enlarge, shrink and customize them into unique works of art. The developers intended to make an introductory tool for the amateur artist as well as a inspiring tool for the seasoned artist. Whatever your artistic level, Faces iMake HD looks like a lot of fun.
Also, in addition to the built-in images, you can upload from your Photos library, or include images on the fly using the camera on an iPad 2.

Faces iMake HD includes:
- video lessons by Hanoch Piven himself, designed for all ages
- a gallery of twenty inspirational images created by the Piven family
- the ability to convert your digital creation into a real-life puzzle
- a music player for background jams while you are creating
- the ability to share your creations directly on Facebook and email
Faces iMake HD is now available on the Apple App Store for $3.99.
