Man, oh man. What an awesome day for Mac gamers. If you've missed out on the excellent classic-game marketplace that is Good Old Games due to a lack of Mac compatibility, the team at CD Projekt RED and GOG.com just announced some amazing news. Starting today, a huge selection of exclusive games are ready for download on your Mac -- and they're all on sale.

Now, before you dismiss the initial Mac catalog as just a mere offering of old Mac games, or unknown titles, know this: the starting line-up of 50 games is seriously fantastic. Classics like Syndicate, Beneath A Steel Sky, and Ultima IV join CD Projekt's own excellent Witcher series with Mac compatibility.

Yes, you can finally play The Witcher 2 on your Mac. It's also on sale for $29.99 right now.

"The Mac audience is growing and so is the demand for games for Mac OS. So, if you're just starting out with GOG.com, simply signing up will net you eight free games. There's also a special promo bundle available for the next week, including six games like The Witcher and Postal Classic for a mere $19.94. 

All of the games you purchase from GOG.com are DRM-free, and Mac purchases will also include a PC version of the game, if you're so inclined. 

CD Projekt made a commitment to release at least one new Mac game a week. Essentially, this is possibly the biggest thing to happen to Mac gamers since Valve added Mac OS support to Steam.
