Good Technology Releases App for iPhone
As the iPhone continues to gain steam into the business world, company Good Technology has released an app named Good for Enterprise, according to MacDailyNews. Businesses continue to see a rapid demand for users wanting to access corporate networks via their iPhones. A recent survey of 500 IT departments in the US and UK, which was commissioned by Good Technology, found that 80 percent of companies reported a large demand in employees wanting to bring their devices in the workplace.
John Herrema, chief marketing officer at Good Technology, recognized this. "The iPhone is far and away the most requested device for accessing corporate networks," he said.
As for the app itself, it offers enterprise-class email, and access to behind-the-firewall applications and data. It also provides high levels of security and management, including remote wipe, on-device data encryption, and the the capability to manage all devices from a single, web-based management console.
However, while the app is free, it does require a Good for Enterprise server and client access license. The app will not operate without the necessary back-end software, so make sure to check in with an IT admin for a username and password first.
