Vic Gundotra who notoriously said various things about Apple during his Google I/O speech has responded via a TechCrunch interview.
Gundotra, Google’s Vice-President of Engineering, alluded to the idea that the Android platform was indeed a response to Apple's iPhone OS. "If we did not act, we faced a draconian future," he said. "Where one man, one company, one carrier was the future."
This was just one of many jabs incurred during the entire conference. Yesterday, however, Gundotra responded via a TechCrunch interview, saying the various jabs were, "all in fun."
Evelyn Rusli, a TechCrunch writer said, “I asked him whether he thinks Apple will eventually try to become more open after receiving a fair share of criticism from developers. After acknowledging that he could not predict Apple’s next move, he did say that he expects Apple to 'adjust to market dynamics.' ”
