Fly new ships in uncharted solar systems.
You’ve defeated the Void, bought the best ship, and loaded it with unique and powerful equipment from the blueprints you’ve found across the galaxy. So what else is there to do in the best Elite-style space combat and trading game on iOS?
FishLabs, the makers of Galaxy on Fire 2, were well aware that fans were clamoring for more, so they released a major update to the $9.99 universal app. Version 1.0.7 brings with it many news features available either for free or with an in-app purchase, including the Valkyrie expansion for $4.99.

It’s a bit loud and garish, but it’s home.
The biggest news with the free update is the fact that you can now own your very own space station. With it, you’ll be able to store an unlimited amount of goods as well as numerous ships: from then on, when you buy a new spacecraft, you’ll be asked if you’d like your current vessel to be shipped to your station. You’ll be able to swap ships at will once you dock back home. If the task to acquire the Kaamo Club proves too difficult or too time-consuming, you can get it instantly via a $0.99 in-app purchase.

If you can’t wait to get your own space station, you can buy it for only $0.99.
The major challenge comes with the $4.99 Valkyrie pack, which adds the black market Loma solar system, more powerful equipment, and new ships. Once you’ve completed the original storyline, you’ll unlock the next chapter of Keith T Maxwell’s adventures -- although make sure you own your space station before you embark on it, as you might find the increased storage space useful. It’s nowhere near as large a story as the original (which itself wasn’t too big to begin with), but part of the attraction of this game is exploring new systems, upgrading your ship and buying new ones, and Valkyrie will extend your enjoyment by a few hours even after the second storyline has been completed.

What secrets does the Valkyrie station hold?
The graphics are as gorgeous as ever, the new storyline is interesting, and the door is left open for further adventures in the future. Let’s just hope that they’re either longer or cheaper, as $4.99 felt a little bit much for such short added gameplay.
