Apple CEO Steve Jobs was named the world's best-performing CEO by the highly regarded Harvard Business Review according to 9to5Mac.
HBR conducted a study of 2,000 CEOs worldwide, and then chose a sample group that consisted of forty-eight nationalities from companies that were based in thirty-three countries.
CEOs like Jack Welch, Warren Buffett, Larry Ellison and Bill Gates did not make the list. HBR only considered CEOs that took on the role between January 1995 and December 2007.
HBR went on to note that despite Jobs' health, he added $150 billion onto Apple's market cap. He has also delivered an average of 30 percent shareholder return annually since he returned to the company that helped co-found.
