Hey, Adobe: Mac OS X 10.6.5 Update is 42 Percent Fixes for Flash

If you take the time to read Apple's own documentation of the security update, you'll find that Adobe provided all of the fixes for the Flash-related issues, just as FreeType.org provided all of the x11 fixes.

In fact, although Apple only got around to updating their copy of the Flash player this week, Adobe has made most of those fixes available many weeks earlier, some of them months ago.

Modern OSes are comprised of a great many third-party components, from video drivers to the Java engine to X11, Flash and more.

When any other vendor provides timely fixes to bugs they get applauded, but in the current climate Adobe just can't win: no matter how quickly they deliver fixes they still get lambasted from it by those influenced by the RDF.
