Love the new and improved user interface on the web-based Hulu? If you have a PlayStation 3, you can now get the same great look -- and the company promises to keep rolling it out to other living room devices as well.
The Hulu Blog has announced a fresh new look for the PlayStation 3 app, which launched two years ago in the U.S.
"I’m excited to announce that the new and improved Hulu Plus experience rolls out today on PlayStation 3," principal software development lead Daniel Bear writes. "Designed to help you get to the shows you watch faster than ever before, the new experience includes larger, more vivid artwork and is easier to navigate."
The new look should be familiar to anyone who's used the Hulu.com website lately, which utilizes a new "tray-style format" for scrolling through recommendations based on your viewing history or checking out popular shows and movies, top 100 clips, movie trailers and more.
To get the update, head to your PS3's TV/Video Services in the cross media bar and install the new Hulu Plus app from the "My Channels" section. Hulu Plus is $7.99 per month, but new members can get a free one-week trial just for trying it out.
Oh, and what about the slick new UI coming to other devices?
"PlayStation 3 is the first living room platform we are rolling out the new Hulu Plus experience on, so please take it for a spin and let us know what you think," the blog post concludes. Okay, we're waiting…
