Okay, it may not be the same without Kurt Loder's deadpan news and all the veejays some of us grew up with, but VEVO TV is likely the closest thing we'll ever get to an always-on music video channel ever again.
VEVO updated its app offerings on Tuesday to include support for its new VEVO TV initiative, offering a steady stream of music videos 24 hours a day, seven days a week without interruption.
"Tune in anytime and catch a full assortment of entertainment, hand-picked by music lovers for music lovers," the company's website reads. "Hours of top hits, unforgettable classics, and breaking artists. We’re betting you’ll discover some new favorites along the way, too."
Available exclusive from the free iOS apps (iPhone/iPod touch, iPad) as well as VEVO.com, Android, Windows Phone, Xbox and Roku, VEVO TV actually one-ups the classic MTV and VH1 channels by allowing users to save any video for later playback.
