Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
According to ipodnn, the first iAd-capable applications have reared their heads in the App Store. If you've a hankering to see the very latest in producer/consumer brow-beating technology, the blog says that your best chance is to download applications produced by Avantar, the makers of Munch, OneTap Movies and Showtimes.
At the time that this post was written, no actual ads were available for consumption. However, in their place, test images were available stating that the iAd platform was running just fine, and was ready to assist advertisiers in removing cash from our wallets at any time.
iAd is scheduled to be formally introduced on July 1st, at which point the ad placeholders should be replaced with actual advertisments.
