Ready or not, Apple will turn on iAds July 1 for all iOS 4 devices. Apple's ad platform will let app developers release free or cheap apps and offset their costs with advertisement revenue. Apple takes the place of AdMob or another ad platorm. Apple says that advertisers have committed $60 million in purchases for the rest of 2010.
Apple will sell and host all of the ads. Developers just enable the platform and get 60 percent of ad sales. The advertisements are specially developed for the iOS 4 devices, including video and interactive features.
