Engadget published a claim this morning about reports stating that iBooks was being rolled out to some iPhones that had been updated to iOS4 early. So far, we haven't been lucky enough to see this happen on any of the iOS4 beta devices we have access to. Is it a fluke or just a slow test rollout?
According to the report, Engadget caught wind of rumors that users were receiving a notification that encouraged them to download the previous exclusive to the iPad iBooks app. The update wasn't available using the over-the-air App Store on the iPhone and had to be retrieved using iTunes on a computer.
