So you thought the iCade video game cabinet for the iPad was just an April Fool's Day joke? Well, as it turns out, this little fun video game controller is a reality. Inspired by the ThinkGeek prank, a prototype was built. Of course, the only thing better than going to an actual arcade (assuming you can find one) is playing classic games on your personal screen powered by an iPad.
The video demonstration (YouTube embed below) shows the arcade in action with a classic video game: Mr. Do!
We are personally grateful to the person who built the prototype and can only hope that they will be able to finally make this prank into a truly amazing product.
The iCade isn't the only cool DIY product for the iPad that someone has built. In fact, one Etsy user recently created an iPad stand and sound amplifier out of a few pieces of wood and the appropriate tools. You can check out their fine creation on Gizmodo.
