If you’re one of our readers residing outside of the United States and you happen to be in the market for a Mac mini this week, you may have noticed that Apple has quietly slashed prices on the headless Mac. Could cheaper pricing be coming to Cupertino’s home turf as well?
MacRumors is reporting that Apple has given international markets a stealth price slash on the Mac mini Tuesday. According to Macerkopf.de, the change is effective in all markets that aren’t priced in U.S. dollars, although Australia appears to have remained the same.
“In the UK, prices of the two Mac mini models dropped from £649 to £599 and £929 to £879, while in other European countries prices dropped from 809 euro to 709 euro and 1149 euro to 999 euro,” MacRumors notes. “Prices in the U.S. remain unchanged at $699 and $999 for the two Mac mini models.”
There’s no word on whether or not price cuts will be coming to U.S. shores, or perhaps this is simply a price-matching attempt on Apple’s part to keep parity with currency fluctuations. Either way, we’re jealous -- hey Steve, we want cheap Mac minis, too!
