Battery Issues on iPhone 3GS handsets running iOS 4? Nah.
According to Macnn, a Norwegian journalist by the name of Jarle Aasland, sent an email off to Steve Jobs to query whether the Apple CEO was aware of the battery life issues many iPhone 3GS users have reported since upgrading to the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system.
In classic Jobs' fashion Aasland recieved a single word response to his query, "Nope."
This isn't the first time that battery issues have been brought to the fore since the introduction of iOS 4. Many iPhone 3G users have complained, amidst their gripes about a lack of multitasking capabilities and other frills that the new OS features, that their battery life experienced dramatic cuts.
Whether or not Jobs is actually unaware of the the battery issues on the 3GS is anybody's guess. However, with dramatic battery drains being experienced by 3G handsets--hardware that's two generations old--it wouldn't be a grand stretch to see that the last generation hardware might be experiencing issues with its battery as well.

I find it strange that people are complaining about reduced battery life. For me, battery life seems to have improved on my 3gs since upgrading to iOS4. It could just be me though.

Turn on "push" mail on your 3 GS and you'll see the battery sink quickly.....even after a battery cycle, even after doing a restore (not from backup).
